ACTIVITIES
Strategically situated between two seas, La Manga Club is the
ideal base for water sports & activities. Just ten minutes from
the resort you and your team can take part in a wide range of
fun and motivational water based activities. These might include
sailing, windsurfing, beach activities, canoeing and kayaking,
water skiing, jet ski races, scuba-diving or an "American's Cup"
style regatta. Alternatively, we can organise a variety of boat
excursions on both the Mar Menor and Mediterranean, ranging from
motor boats with underwater viewing to yacht trips or a historic
schooner cruise.

waiting to be tried. Don't miss out, take the plunge and enjoy!
Covering an area of some 170 square kilometres, the Mar Menor is
Europe's largest saltwater lagoon. This unique setting has
everything you need for water sports: great weather, constant
thermal winds, warm shallow water, on average 6° warmer than the
Mediterranean... All of which explain why it is considered one
of Europe's best sailing and windsurfing destinations.
Sailing & Windsurfing
Sailing on the Mar Menor is a fantastic experience: its gentle
water and soft winds make it a safe environment for learning and
practising. Windy days offer an added challenge to more
experienced sailors, yet without the risks of the open sea.
If you would like to learn to sail while on holiday, dinghy
sailing and windsurfing courses are available through
locally-based sailing and wind-surfing schools. It is also
possible to hire dinghies, boards and wetsuits.
Boat Excursions
For an unforgettable day on the waves, why not hire a boat? You
can choose from a wide variety of craft - sailing, rowing or
powerboats and yachts - with or without a skipper. There are
also organised charter boat trips to the islands in the Mar
Menoror around the Mediterranean; just sit back, enjoy the
scenery and let yourself be gently rocked by the waves.
Other crafts are available for rent to explore the Mar Menor
gliding over the surface of the water, including catamarans,
canoes and kayaks. Sea fishing or a historic schooner cruise are
alternatives for an exciting day out.
Scuba-diving
Why not explore the underwater world on a guided dive or learn
how to dive during your holiday at La Manga Club? Based at Hyatt
Las Lomas Village & Spa and open from Easter until November,
Adventure Divers is a dive centre specialising in personal scuba
instruction and guided dives. Adventure Divers offers its
clients a complete range of PADI (Professional Association of
Diving Instructors) diver training courses from beginner up to
Dive Master level, including various advanced speciality
courses, refresher courses and children's courses for those as
young as eight years old. Escorts to recommended dive sites are
available to qualified divers as well as novices wishing to
experience the underwater delights.
